25 Best Adult Only All Inclusive Resorts Cancun

We recently put out a list of the 25 Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Cancun in 2023. This list included both resorts for families and resorts for adults only. But since Cancun is a popular place for couples and people traveling alone, we thought it would be best to focus on the best all-inclusive resorts for adults only in Cancun.

All-inclusive vacations are great because the price covers your food, drinks, and place to stay. Some tours and trips are the only things that are not included.

Not only that, but these places entertain all day and night, like live bands, DJ sets, dance shows, and more. If that sounds like your kind of thing, check out our top picks for the 25 best all-inclusive resorts for adults only in Cancun:

1. Adults-Only Fun on a Caribbean Beachfront

The Hyatt Zilara Cancun Resort is on the biggest stretch of white sand beach in the Hotel Zone. Its sleek design sets it apart from other all-inclusive resorts in the area. There are swim-out decks that lead to large rooms with sexy walk-in showers that can easily fit two people.

There are six à la carte and gourmet buffet places that cater to your every taste and whim. You can also drink craft beers and other drinks as much as you want. There’s a classy, slightly older vibe here for couples. You won’t find any Spring Break antics here.

2. Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun

The 260-room Le Blanc Spa is the finest (and most expensive) adults-only all-inclusive hotel in town. It stands out for its gorgeous white-sand beach in the heart of the Hotel Zone, lavish spa (guests receive free access to the hydrotherapy area), stunning pools (two of which feature swim-up bars), and especially its pampering service, from the butlers who will unpack your clothes to the pool attendants who will provide cool towels for your eyes.

The modern, light rooms feature two-person whirlpool tubs, and the majority of them offer ocean or lagoon vistas. Except for the exquisitely designed Lumiere, none of the upscale eateries require reservations and serve delicious cuisine. Multiple daily courses, including aqua spinning and Pilates, contribute to the hotel’s impressive fitness program.

3. Cancun’s Zona Hotelera

Cancun’s Zona Hotelera

Cancun is comprised of two areas: El Centro, the downtown area, and Zona Hotelera, which is technically an island just off the coast to the east. The Zona Hotelera is separated from El Centro by the Nichupte Lagoon and has a lengthy beachfront strip lined with luxurious resorts, nightclubs, restaurants, and shops.

This vast body of water is comprised of five smaller lagoons. Following the construction of the Cancun Hotel Zone in the 1970s, these lagoons are one of the remaining wetland and mangrove ecosystems indigenous to the region.

I can recommend several adults-only all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun Hotel Zone, as well as one budget-friendly option just south of the city. Check out my guide to the finest all-inclusive Riviera Maya resorts for adults for additional options.

4. Turquoize at Hyatt Ziva

The Hyatt Ziva provides a singular experience for the city of Cancun. Despite the hubbub of Cancun, Turquoize at Hyatt Ziva provides a tranquil retreat. It is encompassed by the ocean on three sides due to its scenic peninsula location. The resort was designed to resemble a peaceful village, allowing guests to interact with the region’s natural beauty from the comfort of their hotel.

Imagine modern furnishings, spa-like restrooms, and balconies with breathtaking views of the ocean. The infinity rooftop pool and swaying palms that characterize the adults-only section of this hotel create a lavish and extravagant setting for couples, families, and friends to enjoy.

One of my favorite features of this hotel is that Turquoize guests have access to the spa from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., so if you really want to recline and unwind, this is the hotel for you! Additionally, your personal butler, balcony jacuzzis, and iPad for room service are all desirable amenities.

However, I will say that compared to the other hotels I’ve stayed in during my time in this city, the food here is not the best; it’s by no means ‘bad,’ but clearly average. I found the location and personnel to be the most outstanding features of this hotel. Both of them were world-class.

5. Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun

The Live Aqua Shoreline Resort Cancun is situated adjacent to Cancun’s white-sand shoreline and features an outdoor pool with breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. This elegant adults-only resort with its eight infinity pools is a Caribbean sanctuary. Guests can soak in hot baths and participate in yoga classes.

There are 9 restaurants serving Mexican, European, and Asian cuisine, and each room has its own private balcony. My partner and I had a wonderful time at Live Aqua. We relished the tranquility of the resort and how well-connected it was to nature, the excellent food and drinks, and the exceptional service.” Raluca, December 2021.

6. Haven Riviera Cancun Adults Only

Majestic blue waters extend to the horizon, and a shoreline of white sand welcomes guests each morning. With thoughtful amenities such as hot tubs, shaded sun beds on balconies, numerous indoor and outdoor pools, and spacious living rooms with breathtaking vistas, the elegant design elevates the beach escape experience.

With a stage for performances, a cozy bar, and an opulent restaurant, boredom are not on the menu here.

7. Sun Palace Cancun

Sun Palace Cancun

On a narrow strip of land at the southern border of the Hotel Zone, Sun Palace Cancun is all about the views. Every room has a private balcony overlooking either the ocean or the Nichupté lagoon, in addition to canopied king mattresses, double Jacuzzi tubs, and his and hers sinks.

While Sun Palace is smaller than other resorts in the area, it makes up for it with an extensive array of amenities, including four restaurants, three lounges, and 24-hour room service. (Did we mention that visitors are welcomed with hibiscus drinks? Loungers and luxurious daybeds surround the three ocean-facing infinity pools.

Visit the Awe Spa for replenishing body wraps, deep-tissue massages, and hydrotherapy plunge pools for an even more relaxing retreat.

The adults-only property has seven pools, 13 restaurants, a rooftop terrace, seven pool bars, and access to a beautiful beach. This resort for adults only is in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, between green trees and blue waves. It has everything you need to rest.

This resort has one restaurant and tequila bar called Restaurante La Distral, where you can try real Mexican food and more sophisticated meals.

21. Golden Parnassus All-Inclusive Resort & Spa Cancun

Not to be confused with the Great Parnassus up the beach, the Golden Parnassus is an all-inclusive resort for adults in Cancun’s famous Hotel Zone.

Even though the white, unremarkable building isn’t as nice as the Ritz-Carlton next door, many people come back because of the laid-back atmosphere and helpful staff who go out of their way to make sure everyone has a good time.

The 214 rooms all have small, furnished balconies and marble bathrooms. The “club” level rooms have extras like double Jacuzzis, bathrobes, and free fruit boxes. The room’s style is simple but clean: the walls are bare, the colors are neutral, and the floors are light wood.

Even though the bathrooms aren’t very bright, they have big tubs and plenty of counter space. There are five places to choose from, serving everything from Mexican to Japanese food. Most guests find at least one they like.

The pool is big, like most all-inclusive hotels in Cancun, but it doesn’t have a swim-up bar, which is a bit of a bummer at an adults-only hotel. Also, this place can get a little rowdy, so people who want to relax in their room at night should ask for a room on a higher floor on the lake side of the resort.

22. El Dorado Casitas Royale

This place to stay is a romantic hideaway in the woods on the beach. Modern furnishings add to the charm of local design elements like thatched roofs and wood accents found throughout the property. Guests spend their days relaxing in hammocks, private cabanas, and lounge chairs by the pool.

Cenote Tula, a well-known water hole in Mexico called a cenote, is just a short drive away. Travelers should talk to a local guide before jumping in, though.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What does an adults-only resort mean in Cancun?

“Adults only” means that the location is only for people over a certain age. Most of these places think that 18 is the age of adulthood, so that’s how old you have to be to stay there. You won’t be able to bring kids, babies, or anyone else under that age into the resort.

What to expect at an adults-only resort?

Adults-only hotels have a laid-back vibe where people can meet new friends and hang out with other adults while enjoying good food and entertainment. Also, they are perfect for romantic trips and offer the most convenience and great services.

Do all-inclusive resorts include alcohol in Cancun?

Yes, booze will be included if it’s all-inclusive. The most important thing to know is what kind of booze is included. A lot of the time, the alcohol that comes with the package will only be local names. That is, you probably won’t know what the labels say on the drinks you buy.

Can a woman go to Cancun alone?

Many women travel alone to Cancun every year, and if you use some “travel common sense,” you’ll have a great time on your first trip there by yourself. Cancun is a great place to travel alone, and I hope this Cancun travel guide gives you the confidence you need to do so.

Last Word

These are just a few of the many amazing all-inclusive resorts for adults only that people can choose from in Cancun. How to choose between them is to think about what kind of holiday you want.

Even though they are all all-inclusive resorts for adults, some have more of a party vibe while others are more about dating and chilling out. So before you decide, take the time to learn about each location, read reviews, and compare the amenities and services.
